Class: Sourdough Baking the Easy Way

Learn how you can make delicious, “healthier” baked goods in your own home.

Sourdough is the oldest and most original form of leavened bread. Though sourdough is not limited to bread making alone. Other delicious items that can be made with sourdough include – pancakes, muffins, “English muffin” sandwich buns, chocolate cake, banana bread, crackers and more!

In this class you will learn to:

  • Take care of a sourdough starter.
  • Where to find a reliable sourdough starter (purchase options will be available).
  • How to use sourdough to make the healthiest possible baked goods.
  • Flour types – the best for health and taste.
  • Why sourdough products are greatly reduced gluten making them more useable by people with intolerance issues.

You will get to observe multiple sourdough foods being made in LIVE in-person, so when you get home you will have the confidence to make delicious, healthy sourdough baked goods in your own kitchen. The health aspects of sourdough will be explained in detail.

Some of the recipes you will see made in class are:

  • Sourdough Pancakes
  • Sourdough Muffins
  • “English Muffin” Sandwich Buns

You will get a packet to take home, which includes many tried and true sourdough recipes, so you can start baking right away!
